Photo Reflection: Reindeer
I took this photo on Sunday in the late afternoon. I chose to use two stainless steel reindeer decorations as well as a candle on a small tray. This photo was taken from the side on an angle in order to create a sense of depth. The shadow of the reindeer's antlers are shown on each side of the candle. The positive space are the four objects in the photo and the negative are the wall and the counter. I incorporated line by the stripes on the candle as well as the counter that the objects are placed on. Everything in the photo is either white, silver or a shade of blue which ties the picture together. The pattern in this photo are the stripes on the candle and the reindeer add unusual "shape." The shadow in this image adds intrigue to this picture because of the way that the shadow of the antlers come together, meeting in the center of the candle since they are placed on each side.
